Book Me Baby

Since I was little I loved reading, I just had to be in the mood for it. However when I became a teenager I no longer enjoyed it. Now that I am an adult every year I get better at picking this habit back up. So this year I set a goal of 30 books this year. Go big or go home, right?

These are the three I have so far. I hope to be done reading the top two and half way into the bottom one by the end of this month. Fingers crossed!

I was so delighted to hear that Rupi Kaur wrote another book! This one

is larger than the previous one but still is a quick read and just as moving. If you haven't read Milk and Honey I highly recommend it. She is a writer that really touches your heart.

"the universe took it's time on you

crafted you to offer the world

something different from everyone else

when you doubt

how you were created

you doubt and energy greater than us both"

This one is a play. It's about Helen Keller and her life. It's a well known play/movie and I am pretty sure I saw it when I was little but just don't remember all of it. When I found this I just had to get it to add to my collection.

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart."

I've wanted this book ever since I came across the instagram account years ago and I was lucky enough to find it for $8! If howver you aren't so lucky you can find it here! There is so many unique, interesting people and i can't wait to read each of their stories.

"I'm having trouble dealing with society"

"What aspect of society?"

"The whole thing"

These are four that I hope to get and read this year.

Because really who wouldn't want to be a boss?

“There are secret opportunities hidden inside every failure.”

Americanah

I'm not much for novels but a youtuber mentioned it and I just had to add it to my list.

“We teach girls to shrink themselves, to make themselves smaller. We say to girls, you can have ambition, but not too much. You should aim to be successful, but not too successful."

THIS!!!!

Uninvited

A friend posted a page from this book the other day and now here it is.

“Feelings are indicators, not dictators..."

What's on your book list? What's your favorite book?
