Naomi Goes to Her First Museum

We went to the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art.
I've always loved museums even as a child. My sister took me to much here in DC. I thought since she was a baby she wouldn't really be interested in it or even be awake. But she has a way of proving me wrong with the weirdest things. Since day one Daddy and I have realized she just isn't the normal baby. She is the weirdest coolest baby and she's all MINE.

Here she is...smiling since we walked in the museum. She was so excited, like she knew where we were and she was big-eyed (as usual) and eager to learn. (in my opinion). At first when I took this I didn't think of putting her in it but then i saw her all cute and happy like "ooooh mommy where are we?"
So naturally I just couldn't resist.

Seeing her react to everything even though she's so young just so astounding to me. Since her first moments with us she just seemed so curious and observant! As if she will remember all this when she is older.
I think she liked this room the best. She was so amused by all the big screens, colors, and noises these two videographers
pieces had to offer. She honestly would have watched the whole thing but daddy and our friends wanted to see more of the museum.

They have a cute little area where you can hear and play the African instruments and color one of the vases they use as an instrument or to store things in. She obviously is too small to color so Daddy and Mommy colored one for her. She really enjoyed hearing the many different instruments.

Just look at her "coloring" with daddy. So cute! My two favorites in the entire world.
I want Naomi to learn as much as possible, as young as possible. KNOWLEDGE is POWER especially as a woman and I think it is never too early to start teaching your baby. Just a little mom thought/rant.
